The Integrated & Personalised Medicine conference this year was incredible.Integrated, personalised, whole-person, holistic, complementary lifestyle medicine - whatever you want to call it - is no longer fringe, hippy, woo-woo. We now have some very serious professionals, organisations, evidence, policies pushing this agenda forward. We are still at an early adoption stage but this conference, for me, showed how far we have come and that in the next decade, we will be able to make a greater positive impact on the lives of our patients.I enjoyed meeting so many old friends and making new connections. On the rarest day of the year, February 29, it was uplifting to be part of #RDDNIH on #RareDiseaseDay and onsite at the NIH Main Campus to raise awareness about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives. Thank you to the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) and the NIH Clinical Center for convening patients, patient advocates, caregivers, healthcare providers, and researchers and shining a spotlight on stories told by patients living with a rare disease, their families, and their communities. When we are Patient-First, we are also Digital-First, especially when there is a role for Artificial Intelligence to play in reducing the diagnostic odyssey.
